Schlongcity was conceived in a garage in Cupertino by three visionaries: James Brewer, Duncan Myer, and Grant Kilgore.  These three asked themselves a simple question: Can you buy a website and name it whatever you want?

The answer?  Yes. 

What followed was one of the most tasteful non pornographic websites in internet history:  schlongcity(.com). For an entire year, this website was consistently ranked as one of the top URLs in the continental United States.  After 12 months, the founding Schlongholders had a decision to make:  raise enough capital to keep the rights to the URL for another year, or fade into obscurity.  After an hours  long emergency Schlongholders meeting, the schlongholders decided they could not afford the $20 fee to keep the dream alive.

That was the night Schlongcity(.com) died. 

After over a decade since the launch of the original schlongcity(.com), the original schlongholders birthed something even better.  Something even smarter... Schlongcity.org.
